In August 2003 we made our third research trip to eastern France as part of our project to keep the Cave Diving Guide to Eastern France as up to date as possible. In my new dive mobile, a 4.0L Ltd Jeep Cherokee with an LPG dual fuel conversion, we loaded sixteen cylinders, crates of diving and caving equipment, a GPS navigation system and an array of CDs. The plan was to start off in the Cote d'Or region, move down to the Doubs & Jura, cross into Switzerland and return via Haute Marne. We did all of it except the Haute Marne stage and still managed to miss the ferry on the way back.
